THE NATURE OF WALLBY

The area surrounding Lake Skirösjön and Wallby Säteri is known as The Garden of Småland, and with good reason.

The oak-clad slopes, the deep forests, the waterfalls, the lakes, the meadows. The paths that meander closely around the lake. And the crowning glory – the sunrise that casts gold over the surroundings almost every morning, however thick the clouds loom. Walking along the avenue early in the morning, seeing the mist clear and smelling the damp grass is like imbibing life. We relax. We become one with nature.

At Wallby, there are opportunities to explore nature on your own with our hiking map, or you can accompany our local nature guide Hillevi.

THE ANIMALS AROUND WALLBY

The wildlife around Wallby is rich and you can, with a bit of luck, see deer, elk, wild boar and lynx. Many birds, over 200 different species, also nest around Lake Skirösjön. Plenty of fish such as pike and perch swim there. Perfect for a trip with binoculars or a fishing rod. Regardless, we guarantee that you will get to meet the our own horses. In addition, we have cows and sheep that graze right around the corner.
